»Christmas Carol« è tratto dal romanzo di Charles Dickens, uno degli esempi di critica della società ed è anche una delle più famose e commoventi storie sul Natale di tutti i tempi. La storia narra della conversione dell’avaro Ebenezer Scrooge, in seguito a una visita nella notte di Natale di tre spiriti; quello del Natale passato, presente e futuro, preceduti da un'apparizione dello spettro del defunto amico e collega Jacob Marley. Dickens ha sottolineato la lotta alla povertà e allo sfruttamento minorile, attaccando l'analfabetismo.
La tematica un po' pesante è stata presentata in un modo divertente al teatro da sei attori inglesi dell’ensemble dell’American Drama Group in Europe ai nostri alunni delle classi dalla VI alla IX che hanno molto gradito la rappresentazione alla Casa di Cultura di Isola il 19 novembre 2019.

“In my opinion it was great that actors did interactions with the public.
