At the beginning of the day, we went to school where we saw a video about a festival about a traditional way of fishing. In the kindergarten, we decorated some fish made from cloth. After playing some sports games and having fun together, we went to the library where some students presented us with a folk story. Then we put some salt and salicornia mixed with other aromatic herbs into small bottles in order to create some souveniers. After lunch we set off by two moliceiro boats for a tour of the Aveiro lagoon where we saw flamingos and sea gulls as well as the typical plants, such as the sea rush and the sea purslane.  When we returned to school, a chef showed us how to prepare a typical salad with salted cod fish, peppers, onion, potatoes, black olives, salicornia, vinegar and a pinch of salt. We managed to bake coconut butter cookies with salted caramel. Amd we shared the prepared food with our host families who we spent the evening with. (Žiga Lovšin)
